I'm going to be installing an airlift kit soon on my 2500. I don't trust my old jack stands for a truck this big and heavy. Before I buy some, I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for ratings, height etc? For the project at hand i know I need to be able to droop the rear axle and adjust with a floor jack as needed. I'm thinking I should get 6-ton rated jackstands, but appreciate any suggestions

Just remember that jack stands are rated in pairs. Two 6-ton stands are rated for a 12,000 lb vehicle - 6,000 lbs each. 6-ton should be good. That is what I use for our 3500 dually which weighs in at 9,700 lbs. I’m a bit paranoid though. I use the jack stands to back up the jack if I’m going to be underneath the vehicle. I always allow for 1 point of failure. I don’t want to be the new “oil” spot on the garage floor.
