I've been using an OBDLink LX and their APP to keep track of when and how often the truck goes into Regen mode.
As we all know, starting in 2019 the EVIC will display a DPF Regen but it doesn't really tell you when it is about to start a cycle.
Attached are some photos of how I configured the APP to show Regen status, frequency, capacity and also EGT. I have an older phone dedicated to this.
Also a photo showing the EVIC display just before a Regen cycle starts, can't really tell when it will start from the EVIC.
I've never seen the EVIC display go any higher than the 1/4 mark.
