For that price I'd order up some AMSOIL and run it for 10k. I've gone as far as ~12k but haven't gotten that analysis done yet.

Yeah I guess that could get pricey for most people but I have only driven it 4,000 miles in the first year and don't plan to average much more than that, so I will be changing it once a year anyways.
I usually order 2 6 pack cases at a time and use a different filter than the oem. If you watch, some time you can catch it on sale or a lower price from a different seller through Amazon.

That is a good idea. I just ended up ordering a 6 pack case for $51 and then found a single quart and OEM filter at Wal Mart for $21 for both of them. I am only going to be averaging about 5,000 miles per year so will only be changing it once a year so I'll see how it goes this time. I have only been under the truck once when I was installing running boards but remember it being so high that I could almost sit upright underneath it, so it should make changing the oil pretty easy
