Well, at 35,000 miles, my alternator has gone "Tango Uniform". Shows a voltage of 16.5.....give or take. No big deal, electronic things sometimes happen (I wish just not to me this time).

Took truck to dealer this morning..........NO OEM ALTERNATORS TO BE FOUND IN THE NATION!!!!!

They say could be 2-4 WEEKS before they "possibly" would have one. Again, no big deal, nice loaner so no sweat, just can't believe things have gotten so bad in our great country.

No alternators. No high pressure fuel pumps. No emissions devices. No workers to make them. Strange world we live in

It’s all a huge wave effect from the last couple years.

Delays in some things caused delays in other things made with those things. Couple that with a period of reduce demand for lots of products, causing then manufacturers to ramp down production and even shut down facilities, followed by sudden increased demand and the delays of just-in-time manufacturing that can’t keep up. It’ll unfortunately take years to settle back out.
