AlfaODB Justification

I've been on the fence about spending on AlfaODB, not having an immediate need and thinking I'll cross that bridge when I get there. We added a Jeep JKU to the garage this week so I'm revisiting it.

I'm not a big modder myself, I always stick with factory wheels and tire sizes. At most I need to turn on sales codes for factory options I add to save a buck at the dealer. I had Forescan for my Fords and that was the only time I changed values.

The JKU definitely won't fit that category but I'm not sure how much would really involve the computer outside of wheel size, which my tire shop can do. I know a few of you have Jeeps too, do you find yourself needed to change much via AlfaODB? Is it enough to justify getting it?

I have use it on my Ram and the wifes Jeep JKU. It's less then $150 for the app and OBD plug, Pennies these days. 1 trip to the dealer to activate anything will cost more then that. And I highly doubt your tire shop can change the computer for tire size.

My tire shop has AlfaODB and the JKU doesn't need a bypass.

Was giving everything another look over since I am adding a couple options to the Jeep...clicked the link for the cable, and lo and behold it's advertised as a Forscan cable. Dug mine out of the drawer and everything worked in demo mode. Going to buy the software license, still wait and see if I have a need on my truck before buying bypass cable.
