Nice!

It has been posted here but buried in a thread somewhere. Thanks for making a standalone post in the sticky.

I've been trying to collect these in the rollup thread there but don't always have the time or I miss them.

Where are you plugging in the switch? Also any install / post install pics ? I’m hoping it’s not going in the BCM because my hand is still recovering from installing the hood latch sensor for remote start

You literally just remove and replace the switch cluster. Once you pull it unplug old switch cluster and plug in new switch cluster with the hill descent. The cluster it self only has 4 screws. I have the 12" screen I just took out the 2 screws at the top then pulled the radio forward everything else holding the radio in is clips.

I’ll have to look at mine closer. I have the electronic shifter and I’ve never had the cluster out before.

Awesome find! Have you verified that the Hill Descent Control actually works by crawling down a hill?

Do you see the HDC symbol illuminate on your dash and are you able to set your target speed using the +/- shifter input?
Not down a hill yet just behind the house. Put it in 4WD low then activated HDC, It came on and I then selected/controlled the speed of the truck with +/- shifter. No problems were present.

Wow! "Plug and Play"? No programing or anything? Thanks for the info, great find and thanks for sharing.

Doh! Just saw need alfa. Trying to stay away from it, had some issues after my purchase and FCA gave me a 7 year warranty and really don't want to do any upset that.

I have a 19 Big Horn Fleet truck, so it has nothing in it, I mean they didnt put a single spare wire into the truck (even for stuff like the overhead tailgate drop isnt there). I do not have the button for this by my 4x4 buttons ... but amazingly there is an option in my tiny, craptacular radio to turn it on ... The button just elminiates the need to scrolling through the settings menu to find it and turn it on. No programming, no nothing needed.

Would you care to share where in the settings you found this? I've been through every bit of the settings in mine and have never seen anything regarding hill descent. I have the hill start assist, but that's as close as I've ever seen.

On mine it is literally right below the hill assist, you click the arrow one more down and then it says hill descent, hit the touch screen and then it has the option for off or on. If its not in 4WL you get a message on the radio to put it in 4WL. I have also not actually used it beign in the praries but it is there

Im not sure if this is a Canadian Truck thing or if its on all of them, I was chatting wtih another member and apparently there are some differences because he has the option of turning his Daytime Running Lights off and on with the radio but mine does not.

Thank you. That is good to know.

I think I may try and enable it via AlfaOBD and see if that menu option shows up. I don't see myself needing more than a few times a year, so if I get the capability but don't have the button, I'd be happy.

After reading a bunch of the posts around here I do wish that I lived somewhere with mountains with my truck and I could use stuff like that but honeslty for the whole year of owning my truck I haent been on a single road where I thought to use it. Ive been in 4WL a few times on back roads northern canada, but never anything where I had a decent grade. Lots and lots of flat mud for my truck :D

Who has a Diesel with an Off-Road package (that has the hill descent button)?

Need a VIN to find the panel part number. I'll look around at inventory too, see if I can find it.

This should be the part number- 68370837AE

@Jimmy07 could you take a quick look at this and provide me with a part number also?

I am not sure if it the exaclt same part number above or not and I was planning to order this today. Thank you!
Yo Chester!

Try this....68368375AF. I was looking to put that shifter in my 2019 and was told that it won't work because it is for a 2021. This is the vin# that I used and should work for you. 3C6UR5CJ4MG543966.

Oh yeah and by the way , that shifter you are looking for costs around $250.00

That one works for 2019-2021, as do pretty much all other parts.

I suppose it should be mentioned for others coming across these part numbers- It matters if the truck is diesel or gas, because the hemi cluster includes the dial shifter for the transmission. The one for the diesel, like brutal needs, is WAY cheaper than the one needed for the Hemi.
