I am trying to get 3 levels for the heated steering wheel working on my 2500. I was able to enable other features with AlfaOBD just fine but the heated steering wheel settings are still just showing on or off. Ive tried setting it to 2 and 3 levels and its the same thing. I have noticed that the steering wheel does not get as hot as it used to despite the ui showing on or off. I unhooked the 12v battery for a bit and its still not showing up. Is there some other settings that need to changed besides the ones in the AlfaOBD thread?

- ECUConfig 3: heated steering wheel present- YES
- Memory: heated steering wheel present- YES
- Seats A: Heated Wheel Levels- leave as “Not Defined” for on/off, or choose 2 or 3 level
***NOTE*** Make a backup file before you change the wheel levels. Otherwise you can not go back to the on/off “not defined” setting because it isn’t in the list.
- Seats B: wheel material type expansion- TYPE 3

I wouldn't bother after seeing @Jimmy07 say he thinks it's smoking his seat (?) modules.

I need to get him to fix my BCM file because I don't have the backup file from before the change...

When you set it for 3 levels you do get the three levels, but the system doesn’t have graphics for that. So your first “on” is 3, then “off” is 2, the next “on” is 1, and then “off” is actually off. You have to play a guessing game.

I ended up restoring my backup since I didnt want to deal with the guess what level its on and the potential for fried seat controller.
