Aisin transmission filter service

Just replaced the Aisin trans filter and serviced the fluid.

Got a check engine light during the initial series of starting stopping the engine.

Ran through the gears while stationary and everything was looking/feeling good.

Drove around for a bit but the check engine light did not extinguish.

However the transmission performed flawlessly.

Disconnected the batteries for about 10 minutes. No change. Check engine light still there.

Anyone else have this experience?

Check for the code, if might just be a random BS code, delete it. Probably won’t come back

Common when changing the Aisin filter. Get the code cleared at a local auto parts store.

What fluid did you use. Napa said theirs was made by Valvoline. I’m not sure dealer can tell for sure it’s for Aisin or 68 RFE
