Hello fellow Ram owners. 1 st post in years. Never had a problem with my past Ram 2500's. I have a 2019 2500 6.7 . I have the New/cp3 pump installed. Drove fine for 750 miles then engine light and the code 2459 regen frequency came on. This happened shortly after starting to tow my trailer 8K. Took it to dealer and they're trying to tell me its due to a wear/scoff mark on thr airAir Charger tube coming from the turbo to the air cooler, They say it leaks and causes this. They also say it's not covered under warrantee. wanted $1200 to replace it. I found OME part for $212.00 . My inspection shows wear mark from wire harness but no hole/leak. Has anybody had trouble with the Air Charger Tube leaking causing a code ? I've loss all respect for what I thought was a straight up dealer. Thoughts ?

Did the negative battery cable rub through it?

I read about one other guy with that issue. Less air being forced into the engine means less efficient and could produce more soot which would cause the exhaust to want to regen more.

That would make sense but unfortunately I don't have but a small bubble when I spray soapy water on the rub mark. Putting on a new tube this week at a cost of $213. vice the dealer trying to soak me for $1200. I really don't think anybody really knows what to do about the regen problems, at least not at dealer level, its what the code says right.
