I am in the process of doing some upgrades to my 19 Ram 2500. I met with a local company that does aftermarket work on vehicles and decided to level the front 2 inches, add 20x9 TSI 544BM wheels, 35x12.50 tires, and paint matched Mopar OEM pocket flares.
Was planning on running the TSI rims in 0 offset, and Thuren 2" coil leveling springs with the King 2.0 shocks for the front, while leaving the rear completely stock.
Got a call from the shop today and the rims are out of stock by the manufacturer for possibly 3 months or longer in 0 offset, but they are available in +18 offset. The King 2.0 shocks are also on backorder for several weeks.
How much of a difference is there between the 0 offset and +18 offset? I'd kind of like the edge of the tires to be about even with the outside edge of the pocket flares. Are there issues with running a thin spacer inside of the rim to make up the difference?
Second question is for the shocks. Are the King 2.0 noticeably better than the Fox 2.0's? The Fox's are in stock, so there wouldn't be a wait for them.
I spoke with CJCoffroad earlier and they said they sell a set of Carli Fox 2.0's that are custom tuned for the 2" front coil springs and stock rear springs (complete set for front and rear).
Would those be better than just the regular Fox 2.0's?
Trying to decide what to do here for parts, and don't really wanna wait several more months for parts that are on backorder.
