Anyone adding seafoam and have you noticed any improvements?

Stupid question I know, but just asking. I guess more from a preventative maintenance aspect, help to keep injectors clean?

buy your fuel at a top tier station and you will never need to use fuel additives. I am not anti techtron or seafoam etc but if using quality gas you should not ever have to use them.

Not stupid, and i apologize if that was the inference from my post. Seafoam is usually used to clean high mileage, heavy carbon deposited engines--which your 2021 cummins is not (at this point at least).

No additives are required and you wont be asked to provide any proof that you use any should you need your truck fixed under warranty. That is enough for me to know i dont need to use any.

Now... the additive topic itself is wildly debated (especially with the 19-20 CP4 guys) and most will tell you to use some form of Hotshots treatment. I think the CP4 guys like the LX4, if i remember correctly.

If i am going on vacation towing our 14k 5er, i will add 8 or 10 oz of Powerservice to my tank to add some lubricity. But otherwise, for daily driving, nope... no additives for me.

Thanks, appreciate your response, which makes total sense.

Here is the link to Top Tier Fuels.

However, for example Top Tier is not available everywhere. In Virginia using Top Tier site as a store locator, the Top Tier Diesel is only available in Charlottesville...three hours away. I will be using Hot Shots Secret Everyday Diesel Treatment (EDT) ... cleaner and cetane boost (up to 7pts).

If anyone knows differently...please tell us.

Be safe,
Randy
