Adding digital rear view mirror to 24 5500

Long story short I hate the new towing mirrors and I have near zero visibility with the rear view mirror. I didn’t order it with a 3rd brake light much less the lamp mounted camera. I’d like to add the digital rear view mirror.

Can someone confirm that 68654265aa is the correct p/n mirror I need to swap in and can I use this camera relocation kit from camera source. Would this be plug and play or do I need to change a setting with Alfa obd and if there is some kind of setting change would I need to put a 3rd brake light in to avoid a lamp out message?

As that’s the mirror for a ‘24 (or ‘23) it also requires a camera processor module.

You could use the mirror and camera from an earlier model year, which will not require the processor module, but you’ll get an error displayed on the dash every time you start the truck.

If I turn off the auto dimming mirror with alfaobd would the 21-22 mirror work without causing a fault code? I have no intention of adding the other cameras.
Camera source is releasing a standalone digital mirror and camera in a few weeks for >$300. That’s tempting depending on how it fits. They said it’s a wedge attachment so it would need an adapter.
