Adaptive cruise and regular cruise not working

I have a 2019 2500 with a 6.7. I got the truck 3 months ago from a dealer. On the test drive everything worked and it had a new windshield. One of the steps left is they had to calibrate the camera. Long story short they ended up having to replace the camera. Everything worked great after that.

3 months goes by and the exact issue came back. Dealer said the sales warranty is up and I'll have to fix it on my own dollar. So I figured I would try before taking it to my local dealer. (Did not buy the truck from there). I cleaned the camera, checked wiring, fuses and connectors as best as i could. All appear in good shape. So I had a buddy hook up his snap on scanner and got code # C008E and U148A. That's the only codes that appear on the scanner.

Every time the truck is started the cruise system is active/disabled 5 times and then stays disabled and service required appears. I have gotten up to speed and engaged the cruise while this was happening, it works when the system is on for a short period of time but then shuts off right away.

Has anyone had something like this before? It is sure getting frustrating having a decent truck with no cruise! Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Sorry I missed that. There is a tsb out for the first code. Not sure if it applies in this case. However I would still have the recalibration done as a first step.
Thanks, I think I am going to try that. Not sure if it will work because the last time we connected with the scanner the DASM was no longer there with the controllers.
I checked CAN high and CAN low, 2.7 and 2.2. Had 12v power available and a good ground. I did find the pins to have loose connection so I repaired those but did not gain anything. Controller is still not populating.
I have talked to a tech at the dealer with my findings and they figure it is probably the DASM as well. Wish they would have changed that when thery were supposed to!

Hello! We're having the same issue. Did you ever this one fixed? Was it just the calibration?

I have a c2100 and U148a. Popped back up today after I dropped my camper off.

No issues when I picked it up last week.

Towed it for 4 years without issue and then last fall had it pop up after my windshield was replaced (aftermarket). No fcw/acc/regular cruise. Went to the dealer and they troubleshot it and they wanted to swap out the dasm for $2k then. Was able to get them to reflash the computer and it fixed it. Until today.

So the last 2 times I have used the camper I had to take the truck to the dealer. I have a cargo trailer that I have towed a few times between the initial fix with no issues. So I'm not sure if it is the camper wiring or what.

I also have this warning when trying to use the regular cruise. Why is ESC active with these warnings. Happened the last time as well.

Any suggestions?

Any new updates on any of your issues? I had to have adative cruise module recalibrated a few a months ago... popped back up two weeks ago. Dealer is now saying the module is faulty and they want almost $3k to replace...

I'm in a similar situation with my 20. May drive for days and no issue, or may get the ACC unavailable 15mins into a trip. Key cycle and it's good again, till it's not.. Had the recal done no improvement.

I've had this same issue sporadically for the past 12-18 months with my 2022 Ram 2500.
Would get the warning lights intermittently. Sometimes power cycling the truck would reset, sometimes not.
Started to get more frequent. Dealer tried to re-calibrate the camera last month, fixed the issue for a few days and then warning lights came back on and were pretty much on continuously.
Took truck back in. Dealer reported Error codes same as what mentioned above : c0008e and u148a
They put a new camera in (part 4672894AB) amd re-calibrated.
Picked up truck today and seems OK.
Fingers crossed.

The intermittent issue was a pain because the dealer wouldn't/could do anything if they didn't see a problem.
