I'm looking for some data on the actual oil pressure readings on our engines.
I've installed a pressure sensor on a tee fitting above the oil filter housing. (The other line is going to an oil bypass filter)
The readings I'm getting at idle are hovering around 20 psi sometimes doing down to 15. Under hard acceleration it easily hits 80psi.
Just wanted to check to make sure I've got this set up right. I know the readings on the truck itself are calculated but Im surprised that the calculation is that far off, if the sensor is correct.
