Hello,
Just purchased a 2019 (new 9 miles) 2500 Laramie with 12" Uconnect. When I start my truck I have no response from any of the climate controls. Whatever I select nothing happens, then all of sudden it will turn on. Sometimes in 10 minutes and other times longer, way longer. I live in Florida and this makes it unbearable in the cab. The worst part is when it rains. I have no way to defrost the windows and I will have to pull over and either wait for rain to stop, so I can roll down the windows, or until the AC kicks on. I have tried disconnecting the battery and there is improvement for one, one way trip. When I return its back to wonkyville. I have an appointment next week at the stealership but I am not happy about the fact that my brand new truck (64K) is essentially unusable (unless there is no rain and outside temp is below 75 degrees. Anyone have anything similar happen? Thanks for any help and I am glad to be here.

I checked that and no. I did a test where I enabled it and set temp to 60, but the the same behavior happened. Obviously the survey was not what anyone at the dealership expected (not just the AC issue) so I had a million calls, texts, and emails after submission. During the course of this I had a conversation with their service rep and he told me that if the truck gets too hot it will redirect cooling for the engine and transmission. Hence the reason why the truck is going to another dealerships' service department. I will hopefully find out something next week.

26 Aug update:
They are replacing the AC modulator. It will take a week to get the part and because the truck still runs they will not give me a loaner. The service manager told me that not having AC was the equivalent to not having a radio; a minor inconvenience. Anyone that has ever visited/lived in Florida, in August, knows that no AC is not an inconvenience it is almost unbearable. Not to mention when it rains I have no way of keeping the windows from fogging up. In addition, it is a NEW TRUCK! If I wasn't super upside down this truck would be in a used car lot right now. Sure the AC will get fixed and the truck itself might turn out to be the best truck I've ever owned (doubtful), but if this is an example of the quality control and customer service I can expect, my days with MOPAR are FIN.

FWIW, I had a Jeep rental earlier in the week in Dallas and you could hang meat in it.

Cabin size notwithstanding, the output from the vent was significantly colder than my RAM.

19 Sep update
Still not fixed and still at the dealership. I cannot believe such sub par quality control can exist in year 2020. I get it...everybody want to make as much money, as fast as possible but cmon. Garbage product, garbage dealership, and garbage service center. Ram cares about nothing and no one. I want my money, my car, and my last 2 months back.

If you prefer the thread elsewhere, you can always make a suggestion. Been trying to clean up the massive and cluttered general thread now that we have some additional sub-forums. Perhaps a bit zealous on this one, but we can't just keep throwing everything into General as it makes it hard for new members to sift through.
