A 2008 Shell on a 2018???

Hi.
I have a 2018 2500 6.4.
I found an ARE MX Shell from a 2008 2500 6.4
I know 2008 and 2018 are different generations.
But do you think it would fit?
They look to be the same size but I am not sure.

I had a 2017 Ram with a 3rd gen shell, fit great but had to add pigtail to make the third brake light work correctly. Not sure if that was due to previous owner or not but fitment wise it worked.

I think the only other thing I did to make 100% I trimmed the plastic piece on the back window because the fourth Jen’s there was a slight lip on the tailgate took all but two minutes, maybe heated up with a heat gun and then used a razor to trim it to make it look good I added a 9.99 weather strip to it to keep out water. Don’t have pictures of that, but I recall finding the information on our Ram page back when I had Facebook.
