Took the remants of a spa to the dump. Some how my whole family of four wanted to see the dump. So with 4 people in the truck, a 1/4 tank of fuel and nothing in the bed. The truck weighed 8660 across the scales! I keep some random geatmr behind the seat. Husky tool kit, some recovery gear etc.

That means the truck is +/- 8000 empty!

Gosh dang.

And even at 8,000 lbs. your truck will give your Grand National a run for it's money (depending on just how much "not stock" the GN is). :)

Its would not be close. Not at all close. The truck would be several seconds behind.

Sounds about right. A recent CAT weigh of my truck was 8,560. This was with full tank & Def, wife and two small dogs. This also includes Pullrite 5th wheel hitch (300 lbs) and Retrax cover (105 lbs).
