75A with Mopar Power Deploy Running Boards?

Nobody commented on the “deplorable” running board yet so I feel obligated to do so.

I prefer the deplorable ones because they work. The progressive ones tend not to.
Wait, so are we saying the stock ones are deplorable? And that instead, the deployable ones are actually admirable? If so, I agree.

Or are we saying the deployable ones are actually deplorable? If so, then I completely disagree.

So confused.

LOL. My wife and I started calling the Mopar deployable steps deplorable when we were test driving trucks because we came across one that didn't work and two that were already removed to be repaired. (or vice versa)

Well now that’s some funny $#!t right there! I am definitely deplorable so I guess my boards would be, too. :)

Getting this thread live again since I’m on my way to pick up my new 75A PW!

I ordered a set of AMP steps off Ebay at a good price. Not the Deplorable factory ones.
Still waiting on my 75th PW.
Today I get a Email saying they were delivered. HM, day early. SO I run home to get them and put them in the garage. Pull up to the house and no box. My first thought is porch pirates.
Look in the house and garage and no box.

So I go back and look at the email. Yep, package delivered, TO MICHIGAN!. I live in CALIF!. WTF???

I thought it strange as I was following the tracking that it went from TX, to OK, to MO, then wound up in MI today.

Seller is sending me a new package while they try and figure it out. Still got at least a week before my 75th PW arrives.

Nice. I'm glad to see they tuck up under real nice and are not seeable. I have a set on the wife's '04 Chevy and you can see them. But the set on my '01 F250 tuck up under and cannot be seen.

Amazing… basically what I’m planning on my truck looking like. Already looking at new wheels and 35’s, and on the fence now about the running boards since it’s not a big deal getting in and out. But it is a big step, and adding 35’s will add another inch to the step.

Here’s my new 75A monotone granite with RamBoxes, Safety, Tow Tech… only option it doesn’t have (which seemed to not be an option) is the wireless phone charging. I still haven’t taken the glam shots, but here’s a pic on the way home from picking it up in LA.

Well my 75th PW should be here on 10 June.
But I got this box delivered yesterday. Just waiting on my truck now.

I installed the 75A steps (which replaced mopar tube steps I had previously installed). I am a short 62yoa beat down drunk who can barely step off a curb and my wife is short and approaching 60 and we have no troubles getting in and out with the 75A steps. I am running 35's. I would leave them on a while and see how you like them with 35's.

Good to hear. That’s the plan for now. That step looks really good on your truck.

How do you like the Toyo’s? Did you keep 17’s or bump up to 18” rims?

AEV wheels only come in 17" I love the Toyos. I have been running toyos for years and this is my second set RT's I also ran a set on my jeep. One nice thing about Toyo is they have a 500 mile/45 day no question ask return policy and they even pay labor if you don't like them for any reason. I have probably had over 20 sets of Toyos in AT, ATII, ATIII, RT and MT. The RT's are quiet and actually look better in person than in photos.

Hey Jadmt what mud flaps are those? I like how clean they look. Thanks!

For those that have installed the AMP steps. Did you have any issues?
Were you able to use the factory rivnuts? Or did you drill them out?
Anything to watch for when installing?
I've installed 2 sets in the past. 1 one a Chevy and 1 on a Ford. Both were fairly straight forward. Bt the Ram has the rivnuts and backing plates that the others didn't have.

Also wondering if there is a way to tie into the door ajar wiring vice using the OBD port. I may contact Amp and see what they say.
