I have a 2022 2500 crew cab 4WD 6.7 Limited that I ordered from Mark Dodge in 2021. Just turned 40k miles last week and took it in for service. Oil and filter, both fuel filters, air filter, cabin filters, fuel injection cleaning and five recalls (parts not available for recalls last time I had it in). A couple of days after I got it home I noticed it was leaking engine oil. After crawling around the engine I determined it was not the drain plug, filter or oil cap.
Took it back to the dealership and they said a seal had failed in the turbo allowing oil to leak in and it ruined the turbo. The oil was apparently leaking out of the turbo. So they have ordered a new turbo (about a week out) and it will be covered by the Powertrain Warranty. I never noticed a drop in power or a change in sound, although I have not towed anything in a while.
Im a little suspicious that this problem surfaced right after all these recalls were performed but it is probably coincidental. Anyone ever heard of this happening to a turbo? I have read people have 6.7s with 200k with the original turbo.
