Bought a 2018 Ram from a buddies tow yard which he towed from a shady yard that had multiple stolen vehicles. On arrival I saw I wasn’t seeing a fuel level. Dropped the tank and saw the fuel pump was off and broken. Replaced low pressure pump and primed the truck then saw fuel squirting out CP3 pump, realized it was missing the fuel pressure regulator. Installed regulator but still not start. Cracked rail line and barely any fuel came out, computer says it only built up to 70psi when it’s supposed to get to about 4000. In the midst of everything I noticed it didn’t have a fuel filter up front and the tank had a bunch of dirty fuel in it. Cleaned tank, changed filters etc. I was going to proceed to cap off the each injector at the rail and see if I can get pressure to build but at 70psi I’m thinking more than one injector is stuck open especially if the dirty fuel got through the injectors. CP3 pump has proper output. Seems like they were messing with it before but motor cranks and runs briefly off starting fluid and has no knocks etc. Best way to proceed from here ?
