I’m seriously considering buying a RAM Warlock with a 6.4l Hemi. Just wondering what the overall reliability is on these motors when properly maintained. We all read about the dreaded Hemi tick, and few other common issues. How many trouble free miles on your 6.4l Hemi?

2020, 75k miles, biggest repair i have had is a thermostat replacement. It’s been on 37s a couple years, and sees minor offroading by offroader standards.

Oil change/tire rotation every 3-4k miles.

Been very happy with it.

Almost 50k miles, no issues so far, 15k of that's towing a 12k lb 5th wheel.

'21 PW. 95K miles. Been on 35's since 200 miles. Oil changed every 5K using Castrol Edge and WIX filters. Removed resonator. All else stock. Been off road a lot, including some mud and snow. Towed a few trailers.
No motor/tranny/T case/diff issues.

I’m at +92k miles and I purchased it with 63k miles on it.

I have replaced the battery, thermostat and welded a cracked tie bar just to the rear of the cats.

I use PUP 0w40 at 5,000 miles oil change intervals.

IMHO get 4.10 Alex gears not the standard 3.73s.

I’ve owned 2 1500’s with the 5.7’s and 1 PW with the 6.4. Ram replaced one of the 5.7’s at just over 9000 miles due to severe lifter tick/knock. They said it was a bad batch of lifters and they swapped the engine. That one had zero issues and I had it for just over 120k. The second one had zero issues for another 130+k. My current 17 PW has zero issues and I’m looking to trade it for a 25 PW now and it has 153k now.
I went to test drive a 25 PW yesterday and it was ticking loud and proud and it only had 7 miles on it. They immediately took that truck out back and off their website. I went and tried the exact same truck next to it and it had zero tick or odd sounds at all. Put a deposit and picking it up Saturday. I look at it like this, any vehicle can have an issue. It’s just knowing what is possible when getting into owning it.

55K on 2022 DJ, oil change done when light comes on at 8K. Oil used is mobile 1 and K&N oil filter so far. No problems. Would have used PUP but was hard to find during covid. Worked truck fairly hard running at near max GVWR with building materials first two years of owning it.
180K on 2012 300C (5.7) oil change done when light comes on at 8K. Used a variety of synthetics from Mobil 1 to Costco/Walmart brands. Mostly use K&N and Fram filters. No problems.

Did removing the resonator make a difference in performance and sound?
