Hello thanks for the add to the forum. I have been using this form for a little bit now and decided to sign in finally.

I have tried looking this up before asking and didn't get anywhere.

I have a 2024 rebel 2500 6.4 hemi. I put a stainless mbrp 4" cat back system on since there made local ish to me. Now that the honeymoon is over the drown is annoying me.

Does anyone have experience with this setup? I'm debating either using factory resonator in front of mbrp muffler or getting a high flow res and putting infront of or behind mbrp muffler(infront of axel still)

You smartererer folks got any input on this or know if a j pipe and what size works?

Thanks for any input

I think I saw a video where a guy added a resonator to the MBRP system and he said it eliminated the drone.

I just dealt with it until it rusted out and fell apart, then replaced with a Borla setup.

That said, since the drone from the muffler is what you're hoping to remove, I don't know that adding the resonator before it would be the answer, as it would eliminate some frequencies from the engine, but it wouldn't affect anything coming out of the muffler. I think you'd need to add it after.

The resonator would likely always be after the muffler.

Magnflow does theirs post muffler but in front of the rear axle unlike the Ram one.

I have seen cab and chassis Rams with the factory resonator pre axle.

The funny thing is that removing the factory resonator doesn't actually seem to cause any noticeable drone; it just makes the truck a little louder.

Agreed. But OP's first option mentioned putting it in front of the MBRP, as well as the options pre/post axle but behind the MBRP.

Installed an MBRP system on my ‘22, drone is ridiculous , removed and installed an MPI system, problem solved.
