6.4, eight speed, 410s vs the Cummins

not a bad deal.

Sweet! I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a truck Tradesman 4x4 Diesel 2500. Has running boards, chrome package, spray in bedliner plus other goodies, and its not WHITE!!!. MSRP $52,.345, talked the dealer down to $45,715. Is that about a right deal?
A crew cab or single cab?

I would own a gas truck if I didn't pull the weight that I pull, Your maintenance alone on a diesel is more complicated and cost a lot more $$ than a Gasser like Batteries, Turbocharger maintenance , SCR emissions system which none are present on gas trucks.
for what you are pulling I would think a 2500 with the 6.4 gas motor would work just fine.

DO the Diesel . Pulled a 14000 lb 5 th wheel with a 380 hp with 800 lb of torque 342 rears and a 68 RFE over 40,000 miles . Never a problem . Cummins motors work best with a load to pull . You will never go back to a gasser !I
