Good morning ! Just curious for those of you running 45/5500s what youre seeing for empty mpg? I ordered with 4.44s as i do a fair amount of hwy driving for my commute to the shop as well as mobile work. My setup will be a welding truck with a custom bed. I knew going in it likely wouldnt be stellar mpg but even my current 19 drw denali only gets 14-15. About all ive seen is v-belt on youtube who if i remember correctly got a hand calc 17mpg driving his home 12 hrs from dealer. Nonetheless excited to get it, its only 250km away from dealer now. Quite pumped to have a more capable truck, with the welding bed on our 3500 drws weve always been over weight the second we hook up the gooseneck or fifth wheel. My last new ram was a 2015 limited dually which i abaolutely loved, so i cant wait to get into this 22 laramie and see what its like. Havent even sat in a 4.5 gen yet. The 55 gal fuel tank will be awesome as well ! The Increased range will be excellent. Ill also have a 40 gal slip tank in by toolbox.

Oh! Another question, for whomever ordered the “offroad” tire option from factory what did you end up with for tires? My window sticker says michelins so iam presuming there the XDS2’s

My 2011 cummins 5500 service truck got about 10mpg. Not sure what all is different on a new one. It did seem to use less def than my 2019 2500.

Cool thanks! ya i am not sure what all would be different, i suppose the engine on the newer ones do have increased tq/hp, compact graphite block.
