Just bought a 2024 3500 with towing tech group. It's got the 7 pin plug with the 12 pin camera plug straight above it. We're trying to see if we can ADD. a 4 pin plug. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what this plug is? it was taped to the trailer wiring harness, directly behind the "option" for another plug, but we can't see to get anything out of it in terms of power. Would it be easier to just go with a curt "t" connector and create a 4 way? or is there a plug for an additional plug?

EDIT: I'm needing the 4 pin permanently for an undermount tailgate light bar to plug into.

TIA for the help.

That plug could be for trailer TPMS.

I thought about adding the OEM 7/4 in place of the 7/12 in the bumper since I want to use the 12 pin in the bed instead, but instead I put a 7 pin on my utility trailer and have a 7-4 adapter if needed for a trailer that isn’t mine.

If you cant make a 7-4 pin adapter work then a curt T is the only way without cutting and splicing. I also switched all my trailers and accesorys to 7 pins many years ago I hated the old 4 and 5 pin molex plugs

This is the part number for the 7/4 pin plug. It likely plugs directly into your harness, but I never verified it would.
