Here is my setup

2023 RAM 3500 SRW, SB, CC, Limited

This is not a "should I do 37's or not" question.

My questions is for folks that have had or are running 37x12.5x20 on a 4.5 Gen.

  • I will have a Carli 3.25 Backcountry lift with an add a pack with a 1" block.
  • Tires will be 37x12.5x20 Falken AT3's
  • Wheels will be either 20X9 with a +20 offset or a 20X9 with a +1 offset
I really want to go with the +1 offset but I am concerned that the tires will stick out and will kick up too much crap and trash the side of my truck. Mud flap's do not seem to be an option with the configuration due to space. I do not spend any time off road but do spend half the year in snow/salted roads. (for all you mud enthusiasts, I get it...it is a truck).

Looking for feedback from folks running a similar configuration with a +1 or zero offset...

Thanks!

Since you mentioned +20, here is my truck with +20 Fuels with 12.5 inch wide tires. Tires stick out past the fender/mudflap more then I thought they would.IMG_20230402_111434344_HDR.jpg

With the mudflaps, there is still plenty of mud and debris that gets on the truck.

Interestin. My 2014 had Motometal‘s with +18s and 12.5 wide tires but I don’t remember them sticking out that far….but I don’t think I ever looked that close. I believe the difference between the +20 and +1 Fuels I am looking at is about 3/4” Of backspace. That may put it too far out there and cause more trimming then I want to do…

I am going to see if I can talk the shop into bringing in one of each…

These are the rims I am thinking on going with

Those wheels look nice! I'm actually happy with the amount of poke I ended up with, mildly aggressive look. No trimming required for me in stock configuration, only had to trim the Husky front flaps because I'm trying to keep as much debris off the power steps as possible. If you would like I can take some measurements Friday when I get home.

That would be great…

From where all the rock and mud slinging is going to take place is 3.5 inches out from OEM flares and and the top of the flares it's a 1/2 inch. I've added some more close up pictures, hope this helps. IMG_20230429_094750958_HDR.jpgIMG_20230429_094513353_HDR.jpg

This is very helpful. With the additional offset it would put me out a little over an inch at the top and ~ 4 inches at the bottom, may not be too bad. On my 14 I had the running boards that gave a little more protection, with these deployable board there is no added protection when they are tucked up.
