Last week I placed an order for a 23 3500 SRW long bed with factory air suspension, hoping to see it in the next couple of months. I will be pulling a 5th wheel with about 3,000 lbs of pin weight. My question evolves around when I store the camper, I may need to make it as low as I can. Can I turn off the air or dump the air and force the truck to squat? And if so, with 3,000 lbs on the back about what bed height do you see? According to a drawing I found online, the bed height should be 38.2 off the ground with no load.

Thanks

With a load, the 3500 should go down an inch with the Alt Trailer Height switch. There are more settings in the uConnect system to lower it further. Here is what the owners manual says about it:
Bed Lowering Mode
This setting is used to lower the rear suspension to the
lowest possible height and disable the air suspension
system. It enables easier loading/unloading of the
truck and makes it easier to hook up trailers

Not sure if this helps but my short bed is 35.75". Tires at 55psi. Bags empty no load.

With 2,000lbs in my bed the bed lowering mode will put the tailgate 3.5" lower than normal ride height and 2" lower than ALT ride height.
