Took some time today to look at the rear air suspension on my truck. Found that the driver side airbag was very stiff and the passenger airbag was fairly deflated. I tilted the bracket for the driver side ride height sensor towards the back of the truck and lowered the passenger side bracket a hair. After starting the truck up and cycling the bed level, it started to adjust side to side and now the airbags are about the same firmness. Driving around afterwards showed a decent improvement in how the rear performed while empty and it doesn't crash over speed bumps anymore. Seems that the driver side airbag was trying to support the rear end by itself until now.

Interesting.

There may be a calibration/offset adjustment available in the BCM. If I think about it, I can look in AlfaOBD to check.

Soon after I got my truck they performed an RRT/TSB for the air suspension. After that, my truck sat about an inch lower on the left. I had it back a few times even with photos of my measurements while sitting on a perfectly level scale pad, and the dealer blew me off, said it was level. I got sick of that game, so I fiddled with the left sensor arm, and got it to where it sits level, but the bags are definitely not equal on firmness. There must be a calibration procedure. I wonder if Alfa OBD has the means?
