Has anyone tried mounting 35 x 11.5 r20 tires on a stock gen 4.5 HD truck? I’m curious whether the 1” reduction in width compared to 35 x 12.5s significantly reduces rub.

It looks like the equivalent metric size is 295/65r20. Anyone?

I’m running toyo M/T, very slight rub at full turn on mopar mud flaps.

I'm running Nitto 285/65-20 EXO Grapplers without any issues. Nitto's web site states that they are 34.80 in overall diameter and 11.50 overall width.

I wondered about upgrading to the 295/65/20s on another thread, “pick a tire” I got the below response. Check out that thread there are some useful websites posted too that will help to inform your decision making.

My 285/65/20 are reeeeally close to the Radius Arms. I would talk you out of going to a 295 with a 65 profile. You will more than likely rub with that width and no spacer.

I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 295/65/20 and no rubbing issues at all. I am using stock rims and no lifts/leveling kits either.

Thanks for the response. Is it a tight fit, close to rubbing?

I wound up going with KO2s in 295/65/r20 and they are great with very minimal rub. They also have 4,070# load ratings.

Here's the extent of the rubbing on my sway bar with 295/65/r20s that only occurs on hard left turns:
