To make story short and sweet. Got a L5P 2nd gen used in 2024. Oil cooler gave out and now after more than month dealer tech says a new engine is needed. Decide to trade the truck while it’s still in shop. Idk how they accepted my deal but regardless. Got a 25 3500 Cummins. I must say there is a night a day difference in these engines. The GMC was quick but when I load heavy it pulled but not quick. With the Cummins while the trade off is speed the added torque is best. Towed semi heavy yesterday. And man I do not feel the weight holding it back. And the new transmission is nice. Any thing I should be on the lookout and keeping an eye out on these new Cummins? And good preventative maintenance?

Just follow the manual on service intervals, use good oil and fuel filters....

Amazon usually has cheap fake MOPAR filters so be aware of that.
