Hello! i found a set of good shape longhorn seats from a 23 that i really want to put into my 22 laramie. id buy a longhorn but id rather make this truck unique with a custom saddle leather counsel cover and so on. the problem is, apparently (which i confirmed visually today) ram changed the plugs from the body harness to the seats on the 23 which kind of surprised me. So with that said, is there any way around this without hacking wiring?? or without putting air bag system in jeopardy? im guessing the answer is no and i need to keep searching for 19-22 year seats that plug and play. i absolutely hate my laramie seats, they are hard as a rock and every longhorn ive been in is really comfy. plus im a sucker for saddle leather.

I think you should be able to swap the wiring between the seats if you feel like opening that can of worms.

It can be done. They switched up the connectors on the 2023 to facilitate the extra wiring circuits for the power telescoping mirrors that come from the memory seat module, but all of the 2022 seat circuit are still present, just switched around in different connectors.
Some of the mating factory connectors that you would need to adapt to the 2023 seats aren’t available, so what I would do is just convert all of the body to seat connections over to Molex MX150 series connectors.

So buy new connectors and re pin the seat side to match the 22 body side plug is what you’re saying?

So I’m not imagining things! My 22 2500 Laramie seats suck. Hard and uncomfortable. My 16 1500 was like a limo I’m so disappointed in this new truck.

I'm looking at getting seats out of a 23 power wagon for my 19 big horn. Have we simplified the wiring connections for this yet? Just trying to figure out if it's worth jumping on or if I'm better off looking for the plug and play set from a 19-22
