I wanted to chime in and post that this weekend I decided to "tighten up" my driver's side Rambox lid due to it having a slight rattle because the lid could be pushed down once latched showing slack in the latch-striker hoop engagement.
I took out all of the 10mm headed bolts in the box and maneuvered the box out of bed pocket and positioned a couple of wood blocks to support the box a few inches out of the cavity until I could see the striker hoops bolts that are unobtainable unless the box is raised from the bed. FYI, I think that if you have a tri-fold hard cover or possibly another type of bed cover, it is imperative that you either fully open or remove this to keep from damaging the rear lid seal.
There was no backing plate on the backside that I could see, just 2x 8mm headed bolts going through the plastic box into the welded nuts on the striker hoop. I loosened them (since the other front 2x 10mm headed bolts were removed from the inside to free up the box from the truck) and the striker hoop slid down about 1/2" in the direction I was needing to help get a tighter closed and latched position. The upper holes for the 10mm headed bolts were way larger than expected already and were still in alignment for this shift in position.
Bolted it all back up...and the lid is much tighter. Still just a bit high (1/4") based on the plastic on the bed to the lid top, but no more rattle.
