2021 Ram Cummins HO Dually. I bought the truck in 21. Tuned it 6 months later with Calibrated Emission intact. Had more power, similar gas mileage because of a heavier foot. I could get 1+ mpg if drove moderate. Around 50k I was having some slight surging issues. Long story short removed tune and ended up at a dealer. First dealer charged to clean fuel system and did nothing. Second dealer replaced my Aisan. Didn’t fix the issue. I went to Colorado and had 5.9mpg there and back with my 17k toy hauler. 1.1-1.6 worse than non tuned prior to issue. Had power issues in the mountain. Out of the mountains in flats of Nebraska my coolant was 219 and oil was temp was as 244 (not sure during because I didn’t check). I was having regen issue before and after this trip. Another interstate trip towing an empty uhaul car trailer 3 hours and then car and trailer about 4500lb I got a regen I got a p2459 code, and i think it was on the way down. EGR was cleaned and CCV replaced. Brought it back to dealer and was told “emissions components” were the issue. I don’t think he looked much into it other than driving it. Emissions fix is stupid expensive. I reset code and ran a Hot Shots Diesel Extreme thru a tank of fuel. Regen issues were fixed. I cleaned MAF & MAP sensors. MAP was dirty but seen was worse online. Sluggishness was the same. Drove 11 hours and picked up 11k camper and 11 hours back. No regen, Sluggish was there and 7pmg which is bad from past getting that on a 17k toy hauler. I put my Calibrated tune back on. Set to Modified Stock on the switch and Towed a 11k Camper 3 hours and it was 7mpg (bad) and then a 4500lb camper back and only got 9 (bad). Went with Calibrated Aisan tune because it was said it could be something with trans tuning. No better. Actualy may notice it a little more because it doesn’t go into 6th gear so quick. It does it at low rpms in 5th or 6th for sure. Sometimes little sluggish in low rpms. It is the most noticeable under a tow load. Seems to be getting progressively worse. I have had different filters. i am running a stock with no glue strip. Filter doesn't change how it does it. I have had really dirty filter for first change and it was normal. issues started around 50k. I checked VGT and actual vs command are the same.
I have a Edge CTS 3. I have not done anything in EZlync. Nothing jumps or surges as I drive, everything seems consistent.
Fuel Rail Pressure actual and command are usually pretty close. Idle is 6-7kpsi @ 700 rpm. 12-15 kpsi ant 1670 rpm. 29kpsi when I have it pegged.
Turbo boost is 0-35 psi when floored.
Map Sensor is 14 psi at idle, 49psi floored. Seems to be 10-15 higher than boost numbers are.
Maf sensor is 236lb/h at 700 rpm,960 lb/h at 1670rpm. 3410lb/h at 2462rpm.
Exhaust Manifold Pressure is 1psi at idle, then 1t 1670 it was 16psi, then 2462 was 59 psi. Numbers are different than most say but two ways to measure I believe and I think I am in range.
DPF pressure is .07 to .60 when pegged.
I know there is a lot, but I know I will get a lot of questions.
Thoughts?
