I hope this helps others- I was successfully able to swap to the premium overhead with tailgate release working. I have the pictures attached for the premium overhead that worked, what my connector looked like and the old. The new one is a circuit board with the led lights vs the old one with the wiring exposed to incandescent bulbs. I had no other modification I had to do. Rear sliding window and tailgate release work. I bought the overhead on eBay for about $70 shipped.

I do have the level 2 package, and surround cameras, digital rear view and trailer packages.

On my 2023 I had to use AlphaOBD to set overhead console type to Premium to get all the buttons to work ..

Interesting. Did you have the base connector? I tried the blue assist button and it worked too but I’m afraid to hit the sos hahah. But the lights work, the rear slide works, tailgate release works.

The only thing I can’t figure out is the door open button and the on button. They don’t seem to do anything one way or another or at least that I’ve noticed. I can turn on each light by itself and they auto turn on with the doos opening

That is why you need to program with alphaodb. The on button should turn all interior lights on and off. The door button disables/enables interior lights with door opening. Those buttons don’t work until configuring premium overhead console.

Ahh gotcha. I didn’t see that part of your message. I wonder if I change that if I will need a proxi alignment. I have all the readers and everything, just need to get the licenses but I’m waiting to do quite a bit
