I ordered the truck in middle of June. Picked up my truck on Oct 2nd. The next day my neighbor said let's check out that motor, OK. I lifted the hood and in 30 seconds I saw that the heater plug was not plugged into the block. I seen where it was located and I drove bad to the dealership to have them plug it in. Guy said I have to come back tomorrow. Im mechanically inclined but im not touching nothing till my 125k bumper to bumper warranty is over. They fixed it but gave me a rental car for the day to fix it in 5 minutes. Pretty bad. After paying $107,065 cash for it, I thought id getting better service and that they would make it right, right away. But sale is done and now get in line. Bad business. I need a oil and fuel filter changed a week before Christmas. Im there on Thursday Dec 18th. They said anytime on Tuesday the 23rd. Ok 7 am. The service guy text me at 9:21am and tell me its going to be $863 for both. Rip off but need it done. I tell them go do it and I didn't get my truck till 2:30 pm. After my sales guy told them in back to get my truck done. The service guy tells me the techs don't come in until 8ish. Why they tell me 7 am then. They then realize they have no fuel filters at the dealership so now they source them from another store. Not made sure Friday or Monday that they needed filters for my truck. Bad management. Im in Florida with my girlfriend and take her to urgent care. Come out 30 minutes later. Go to my truck and the proximity of the key doesn't work. Weird. So I unlock the truck with my key fob. Put foot on brake push start button and nothing. Tried 3 times of getting in and out of the truck. Nothing. So now I start my truck with my Ram App. It starts up runs great. Go to push just the start button to turn everything on in the truck, NOTHING! My sunroof is tilted up and my back window is open a little. Can't close them or shift car out of park. Call towing at 6pm. Got truck to Dealership at 12am. Got home at 12:40am. Next day no one from the dealership calls me back. I've called 27 times just to get through and had a salesperson hang up on me an operator help a little and a collision guy a couple buildings down email the service manager and me tell him to reach out to me. Service Manager never answers the email or calls. Today he sent an auto text on rating the dealership 1 through 10 on service. Doesn't even know what's up with my truck. Call Ram Customer Care so many times all gave me the run around and one of them hung up on me. They tell they finally replaced both batteries because one had a dead cell. Ok. Then tech finds out the ignition button is always on even when truck is off. And that's apparently the problem. So dealership sent out a emergency email to the manufacturer because their is now ignition buttons in the country for parts. Manufacturer doesn't even respond to dealership within 24 hours like that were supposed to. I have no rental/loaner truck. Something equally to or close to my vehicle. The dealership has no vehicles at all to loan out. Nobody has even cared at all to get me bad on the road. So now im going on social media all over to warn all you about how they treat their customers after that sale. The bad thing is i have a 2012 F150 ecoboost with 350k on it. I have replaced everything in that truck and I trust that over my new truck any day. My Chevy express van runs like a top and has 375k miles. My new truck has 12121 miles. I understand things happen. But if buying a new car is supposed to bring you peace of mind, your wrong. Because they can't even try to get you a vehicle that is close to what you have until they figure it out. Now my week of using my center console boat to go fishing this weekend is cancel with no refund and I have no car. My other vehicles are back in Michigan. I know this is long but im being 100% honest with everything. Stay away from these new ram platforms.

I had a similar experience with a local dealer when I bought a new ’04 Ram diesel. I purchased bumper-to-bumper coverage and a free loaner car program (available only through that dealer). I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and front/rear differential fluid change. When I showed up that morning to drop the truck off, no loaner was available. I was upset but I just walked the three blocks home and worked from there. My manager wasn’t happy, but there wasn’t much I could do without a car. Later I received a call saying the truck was ready. When I went to pick it up and pay, they told me they didn’t have the differential fluid in stock and I’d need to make another appointment—so I scheduled one about two weeks out. A few days later I received a service questionnaire by email. I wasn’t nasty, but I didn’t give all 10s either. I simply explained the out-of-stock fluid issue and moved on.

When I arrived for the follow-up appointment two weeks later, the service manager pulled me aside and chewed me out for the “negative” review. Because of it, he said, I would not receive a loaner even though I had paid for loaner privileges with that dealer. To say I was angry is an understatement.

A few years later, that dealership was closed when corporate shut down several locations. I smiled, because I knew exactly why they were on the list.

A dealer does not represent the manufacturer as a whole. Find a good dealer and stick with them.

Obviously after spending over $107K this is very frustrating to say the least. Some other 2025-2026 truck owners are reporting some of the same issues you list here.. Almost all issues I have read about are "electrical" related. Notice I said "some"--meaning some 2025-2026 report ZERO issues. I would not write this truck off as a bad purchase--it is the SMOOTHEST and most powerful Cummins yet... I agree Ram should have worked out these bugs BEFORE releasing them to market--especially for what they cost. I do think the new platform offers some strong points (i.e. went back to cast iron block, new CP8 pump, improved turbo, "freed up" the air intake design, improved 8spd tranny, etc, etc). ALL brands of diesel trucks have pros and cons. I just talked to my local Ram dealer Service Advisor last week--they do not off loaner vehicles to anyone. I was able to get them to shuttle me to my place of work while they were performing warranty work.
Let us know here how things proceed!

Have you ever taken a vehicle in to a dealer before for service ?

It seems like you don't understand that the structure is:
- Make a reservation
- Bring your truck in early to get it signed in and work verified
- Have someone pick you up or take a cab to your next destination.
- When the tech's come in, they work on the list they are assigned

An oil / filter change at a dealer is not just an oil and filter change, they are required by law to do a fairly significant inspection before releasing it back to you. It isn't a 5 minute job.

You are right that they ideally should have the filters in stock.

Going on social media to complain is not the answer to getting good support. It just flags you as a customer that no one wants at their shop ever again.

If you want good support at a restaurant, you keep everyone that works there happy and over tip. Minimum $5 tip even for a diet coke. They will pull off anything for you.

If you want good support at a repair shop - you bring them a box of chocolates or some snacks.

In spite of what we want to think, the profit margins on vehicles are small, and the service department does not get any of that money.
