2025 8 speed

Can anybody with a ‘25 6.4 and 8 speed tell me when their HD shifts into 8th? I’ll be running 60+ mph and 2000+ rpm and this thing doesn’t even think about upshifting. I don’t have many miles on it, so will it get better? Doesn’t make sense to be spinning the engine that fast with another gear to use.

I’m not towing anything and it’s not in tow/haul mode.

My 2020 6.4 with 4.10 gears shifts into 8th at 53 mph and will hold 8th down to 46 mph.

Now that I have my actual gear displayed on the dash. It shows that my truck with 4.10 gears shifts into 8th at 53 mph and will hold 8th down to 46 mph.

My ‘24 will usually shift into 8th around 69-70. And quiet honestly, I don’t mind if it tachs a little over 2k in 7th, mpg’s are better….

I have 3:73’s and @ 70 in 8th, I’m turning 1,750 rpm which is just enough to hold 70 if I’m on a flat road. I watch the mpg gauge and believe it or it, she gets better economy turning 2-2.2k rpm.

Well that sounds like what mine is doing.

I know mine does the same thing I can get mine up to 2200 ram and soon as I hit 70 it shifts
