Hey everyone! I just picked up a 25 6.7l. Love the truck so far with the 8 speed in it. Only with 25 miles on it, the truck threw a check engine light. Drive right to the dealer with it. They scanned the code and found it was P0315 (Crankshaft Position System Variation Not Learned). They cleared the code, light went away. On the way home (about 6-7 miles) light came back on for the same thing. Dealer said that there is a software update coming out to fix this issue and is not a hard part issue. I was wondering if anyone else has had a new truck and the dealer say the same thing?

The software for this fix just came out, we began running it at the plant yesterday. I'm not sure when it'll make its way to service but it shouldn't be long. The P0315 fix is included among several other items.
Hopefully soon, my service manager told me to park the truck until there is a fix for it lol

What else is bundled in that fix? Will it come OTA or would be a visit to the dealer?

It's mostly false failure/code clear fixes (P0300, P0315, P1451, P032F), a fix to prevent cruise control dropouts when using ACC, plus several other things which don't affect customers.

No decision yet on whether it'll be distributed via FOTA or not, but they're hoping to give it a try.

Is there an official process to report bugs? I have a small one I found related to how the Navigation widget works while using Carplay.

Yes! Mine showed up during pre-delivery inspection. Since they told me not to drive it I bought the truck and instead of driving it off the lot I drove it into service and with an open RO they put my in a rental. Hope the fix is sooner rather than later.

How has the first week running the fix gone? Mine arrived but they advised not to drive it so it’s just sitting waiting. They told me could be a week, a month or next quarter. Any eta ?

Mine came in during pre-delivery and has stayed on!
Same as mine. Dealer told me not to drive it as well. So it sits in the garage lol. Nothing like a $100k truck with 150 miles on it just sitting. I can get the light to go away. Disconnect the batteries for 10 minutes or use a scan tool to clear the code. It comes back every 3 key cycles

When I bought it, the check engine light was on so instead of driving it off the lot, I drove it straight into service so they could open up an RO and give me a loaner under warranty.

Things are fine at the plant, but the release to service is up in the air....might need another update first. If I hear more I'll share an update.

Welcome to a new product launch!
