Has anyone bought a 2024 Ram 2500 that would happen to have a pic of the part number from their box for the trailer surround view camera system. Looks like the part number may have changed from 2023 to 2024 based on one I saw for sale on EBay so wanted to double check. The dealer was not able to get me part numbers for it so hoping someone here has theirs.

Thanks
Mike

I have it in a box from my new 2024, I don't plan to install it. You are definitely talking about the 4 cameras and control module, correct?

Here it is. Looks like AD is the current one and AC is the previous version.

Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for. Looks like the part numbers have been changing every year for those cameras. I need to decide if I want to put that many holes in my RV for 4 cameras and then see if I can find one for a decent price.

I hear ya! I only wanted the triple-view digital rear view mirror and mistakenly thought "Trailer Surround Camera System" was what I needed to get that capability in the digital rear view mirror and module under the seat. I added the wired tow mode camera to complete it. But I also got this "Trailer Surround" XN7 option with all these cameras for the 360 view. I did a bunch of research on these forums and youtube and the Ram site and STILL got it wrong. I wish they would have just called it "Trailer 360 Camera System" because the rear facing cameras on the new tow mirrors can also be considered surround. Most people are familiar with a "360 camera" being the top down view you get on many cars, so I would have kept that same nomenclature. But I digress...

So now I paid over $900 for this amazing system but I don't want to cut holes and feed wires and mount a control box. You can PM me what you think is a decent price. I haven't decided if I keep it for truck resale some day or ebay it. I'd rather see it go somewhere it gets used than have to store it. It's pretty amazing tech!

I have the tow mode camera and am getting ready to stall it but hate the size of the camera housing. Did you use the stock housing or put it in something smaller? Also do you know if the repeater is weather proof?

Stock housing. My father in law welded a stable bracket arm to have it come off our steel ladder on the back. I would certainly *hope* the repeater is weather proof, but I'm taking up the 20' or so of slack, coiled in an aluminum battery box on my tongue. I'm trying to avoid any permanent mods because we seem to get a new truck or trailer every 3-3.5 years. Not by plan, just keeps happening.

I am putting this on a 28 foot cargo trailer that is meant to carry a car so it has a tall ramp rear door on the back. Unless I mount the camera on the rear top of the roof there is no spot tall enough to fit the encloser that came with the camera. very frustrating....
Do you know if aftermarket cameras will work with this system?
