Hi all, been looking for an answer to this sound in the video above, and I haven't been successful. I have the above's "whooshing" sound coming from the cluster/steering wheel area when the car is started. You can only hear it from inside the cab with the doors closed. It's pretty subtle but gets louder or quieter when you turn the steering wheel left or right with the engine on. It happens in park or drive.

The truck is currently at the dealer as we speak. They initially thought it was a steering boot, then a power steering pump but no cigar on either. I'm trying to figure out if anyone else has had this issue and found a fix for it other than just selling/trading the truck in or playing music to avoid hearing it until something fails. Thanks in advance.

Lol, both of my trucks have made that exact noise. My 22 6.4 was more pronounced. My 23 6.7, not so much but it’s there. On mine you can hear it while the engine is running, once I would turn the wheel it would quiet down. I learned not to even hear it. I usually have the radio up anyways.

Yeah, I've been doing some research and I've narrowed it down to the brake booster. I updated the dealer so we'll see if they listen and check it out. Did you notice weak braking at all with your trucks wince you've had them?

My 2024 6.4 makes this sound. To me it sounds like some sort of idle air controller. Your hearing vacuum/air through a small passage.

yeah, i figure it could be vacuum issue as well but i had weak brakes since new so hoping maybe it is the booster and i can hit 2 birds with one stone.
