New member, new Ram truck, as in the title.

Like others have posted, my "need" for a new truck was centered around towing. For 3 years I've been towing the family camper (30 ft) behind a 2013 Lincoln Navigator L. While technically capable, the Ford 5.4, 6R80 combo struggled on grades and the IRS was a detriment to stability when towing. I was shopping trucks for a while, and ended up with this.

Two tone pearl white over walnut brown metallic, 6.7 L Cummins, basically every option box was ticked minus the snow plow prep package, 20 inch wheels, and engine block heater. I apologize if the pics aren't the best, but I'm terrible at taking them.

I had the opportunity to buy a 2025, but chose last year's model for a couple of reasons - including some minor pricing advantages. Probably the main reason is that I absolutely despise the gear select knob on the new ZF transmissions - I realize that the ZF is probably a better transmission but the problems associated with the 68RFE are overblown and primarily centered on people who are modding these for horsepower, increasing transmission line pressure, etc. This truck won't be daily driven and is for family trips and will be kept stock, so I'm not concerned with a transmission failure. All that being said, the reliability upgrade path for the 68RFE is well-known and relatively easy, so there's no issue if I need to replace the valve body pistons and cover plate with upgraded parts.

The seats are insanely comfortable and there is space everywhere for everything. Now I just have to fight the family on keeping food out of the car, and limiting drinks to containers with spill-proof lids.

The detail on these is pretty incredible, especially for a HD pickup. Other options included are the tow-prep package, spray in bedliner, ASD, Harmon Kardon sound, 5th wheel prep package, and one or two other things that I'm forgetting.
