Hello All,

New to the forum here. Would like to pose a question. I sometimes use the ERS to disable the MDS. Mostly in traffic or windy roads. Not sure, but the ERS seems to have different shift points and a little noisy sometimes. Does not seem to be as smooth as the normal D. I know the trans has learning capability to understand your driving habits. This does not seem to carry over while using ERS. Does using the ERS shift differently for anyone else?

I don’t use this often but I have yet not enough to notice the transmission act any different. Curious about what others feel.

I always select 8 when driving just to disable MDS. For the times I forget to do it I don't notice any difference in shifting, just that awful MDS kicking in and out.

I don’t notice any difference. I will say that the ECO light on the dash of my 2024 2500 has never ever gone on when driving without ERS Mode. However, I can hear when I it jumps in and out of MDS. I asked the dealer when I brought it in for oil change and the guy could only comment that there weren’t any software updates at that time. How’s that for effort.

If the light isn’t matching the MDS activation then you probably have it turned off in the settings.

You can turn off the ECO light but it will still activate the MDS? I feel it’s the only good thing about MDS lol. That stupid light feels like I get a raise every time it kicks on. Kidding. I didn’t know it was a setting.

Yeah, it’s in the Uconnect settings.
