I am new to the forum. I have had my truck for three months now and I love it! I wanted to put full replacement bumpers on the truck. Rear bumper no problem. The front one nightmare. It took the body shop almost two full days to get the front one on and if they would have called me I would have told them not to worry about it and leave it stock. The factory mounts that bolt to the frame that hold the factory bumper on near the intercooler were factory welded to the frame. I don't have a picture. It was about a 2" seam weld on one side of each of the brackets. The body shop said they had never seen a ram 2500 like this ever. The guy said that he has installed 100's of replacement bumpers on Ram hd trucks. I am wondering if this is a Ram Rebel thing or a factory mess-up? If anyone has seen this please let me know.
