2024 Less than 200 miles leaking transfer case and squealing on startup

The fact that the fluid got bacon grease hot meant that all the plastics inside were trash, Warrentee to rebuild it would have to pay more than just replacing it. I'm currious off the plastic vent on others trucks are blocked like mine was.

I noticed today on my 2024 Ram 2500 leaking coming from transfer case. Looks like it’s from the larger seal in the middle. I am making the call to dealership Monday to start this process.

I called Ram Cares because the dealer said they would tow my truck for free which is less than a year old. Ram Cares told me there was nothing they could do. Not sure what else you can assist me with?

Once your vehilce is at the dealership, we can connect you with a case specialist who is responsible for working alongside you and your dealer to aid in identifying a resolution. If you would like to go this route, our private messages are open.

You mean like my 2022 Challenger that has had an open recall a few months after I bought it but parts are still on backorder?

RamCare did exactly zero when I called them.

2023 Ram 2500 6.7 here. Where is the vent to check? Is it the hole on the rubber seal? If it’s the hole on the rubber seal itself, should it be at the 12 or 6 o’clock position after techs install it? Or on the T-case itself somewhere ? I am on my 3rd seal so far no leak but seems there is an on going issue with this and may arise again.
One last question since there has been comments on over filling, should a small amount of fluid drip out from top fill hole if I check or should the fluid level be kept about a 1/4 inch from the top of the fill hole?
Appreciate any feedback!

My 2024 3500 just had the transfer input/gearbox output seal renewed because of a small oil leak. I know my breathers are not blocked. Truck has 45000km on the clock and was repaired under warranty.

Update: The dealership replaced the seal with the updated version. Picking up today!
Are you certain the seal is an updated part? From the sounds of it, clogged vents and heat from the exhaust pipes combine to over-pressurize the t-case, and an updated seal won't necessarily resolve that.

The dealership says they have an updated seal due to the failures. Some vehicles are seeing this issue right off the lot, so the vent does not clog up that quickly.

Maybe there are multiple causes due to if it’s the vent or not.
