Hi all... New guy here with a question about my frame/suspension and other random bolts. They have been painted with a brush some sort of hardened black material. My 2018 2500 was not like this. I've attached a few pics showing what I mean. Is anyone else's like this? I can't get a socket on them correctly and am worried about this messing with the threads on the bolts for future maintenance. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve never seen that before. Did the dealer offer some sort of undercoating package as part of the sale? Sad to see the ****ty paint job on that axle, I hope it’s just the picture but the paint adhesion looks 2 thumbs down.

I'm gonna have to reach out to my dealer to see if they did it. I picked it up in January of this year and didn't notice it until the other day. I thought I'd reach out here to see if anyone else's 2024 was like this. As far as the rust on the axle, that's what the northeast winters and road salt do.

I've seen that kind of treatment on bolts before, though I can't recall exactly which vehicle it was on. Pretty sure it's factory.

Is it just me, or does the shock absorber look cracked at the bottom?
