I have read here a lot and joined to ask some questions. Bought my new 24 tradesman last year and now have just under 11k miles and this past weekend we were coming home from vacation and started hearing a strange rubbing noise between 20 and 30mph under the truck. I got under the truck and saw it looked like the transfer case rear seal had a drip. It has still never dripped onto the concrete but the exhaust and most everything under the truck has an oily/greasy film on it, even the front rims have a grimy film on them now. So far, I have loved this truck and its leaps and bounds beyond my 2006 GMC 6.0L gas truck. Any ideas what i should expect? Also is anyone in the South Houston area that has had a decent experience with a service dealer here, I ordered this truck From Mark Ram and they are a long way from me.
