2024 3500 Transfer Case rear seal is leaking. I have a BDS 4 inch lift and my question is, has anybody dealt with the dealer regarding the vehicle having an aftermarket lift being put on the vehicle and the dealer refusing to do Warranty work because of the lift? I've already had an issue with the dealer for a steering box issue because of the lift, but had to argue with them and explain that the lift had nothing to do with excess play in the steering box. They finally gave in and warranted and replaced it, but made clear that none of the steering components, (Tie Rods, drag links or anything like that) will be covered because of the lift. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Shouldn’t be an issue, especially since the 24s are well known for your trucks transfer case leak.

Flan, thank you for your reply. That's what I'm Hoping but we know the dealer is Alway'z look'n for a reason to get out'v warranty work. I'm going to present it them that way, that it's a Known Issue. We'll see...
I will update here what happens.
Another question to anyone-What about Warranty Work In General, do I have Any leg to stand on since my truck does have an aftermarket lift on it?

MCSB should have a hangar bearing so the argument of the lift doing anything on the t case side if the drive shaft would be non existent so you can at least use that to your advantage

H3LZSN1P3R-Thank you for your reply. I apologize but I'm not MCSB Is or what you're referring to regarding a Hangar Bearing?
If possible to explain a little more, that would be great. Thank you for your reply.

MCSB= Mega Cab Short Box.

Hanger bearing or Carrier bearing (depends on orientation of the bearing) is a bearing in the middle of a multi piece drive shaft that bolts to the frame. Google it if you need more of a visual

if its like any other dealer like ive seen in the past few years, if they give you any crap about it walk them out to their lot and point at the 90k ram diesel with the lift kits and custom offset wheels with rubber bands they installed at the dealer and ask if those are covered under factory warranty.

Just any altered suspension components shouldn’t be covered. Possibly transmission as well if they want to be dicks, they may play the “more strain on the trans” with bigger tires.

imho, if a dealer can sell, and warranty this truck that you just paid 100k for with a upfit..... they should be covering a warranty.

I know it's off topic, but as much as I don't want to like those dealer bolt-ons.... I kinda do.

To be fair, big difference in them warranting work they paid for and probably have warranty coverage for in turn, versus a truck rolling in off the street that maybe Jim Bob, his buddies and a couple 12 packs hacked up over a weekend.

That said my dealership has always said they won’t cover parts/mods, but the mods don’t void any warranty unless proven to be root cause of a problem. Think that’s pretty standard attitude, around here anyway.

Thank you for the clarification. I'm familiar with Carrier Bearing, I had never heard the term "Hanger" before.
There's no Carrier/Hanger bearing. It's a one piece drive shaft. Dropped off at dealer this afternoon (Mon) so will See what they say. I'm sure I'll hear something in the next day or two and will update on what they say.
Thank you everyone for your input.

Really i would have thought the MCSB would have one as its only slightly shorter than my CCLB that does have one
