Don’t know if this has been discussed or not.
But would love to know opinions!
Personally love the Laramie front grille (more beef to it) but the Rebel front end also got its perks on looks.
Why would someone choose the new 2500 Rebel over the 2500 Laramie!

Pick the Rebel if you want a locker and the option of a winch (if you go with the Hemi). Pick the Laramie if you don’t want those.

thanks for the reply.
Yes, for sure the Cummins Diesel, lockers and winch. Not into serious offorading, but long distance Overlanding. So the Rebel ticks the box when it comes to payload as well.

You mention payload. Check the gearing on each option. I have not checked in the HD series but I have recently thought about downsizing to a 1500 as my towing needs are not what they were when I bought my truck. But in the 1500s the rebel is the only one available with the 3.92 gears with increases the towing capabilities. Look deeper than outside beauty and make sure the truck will do what you need it to do so your not sorry or trying to mod it to work.

You could always get the rebel and swap out the grille. Sell the rebel grille and recoup some of your money. That's what I did with my tail lights on my Limited when I de-chromed it.

?

You can't get the factory winch with the diesel.

FYI, the Rebel with the Cummins, like other Cummins 2500s doesn't have a very high payload. You're looking at a max somewhere around 1900#.

Not planning to have a lot of payload. Will be just pulling a camper trailer (Medium Size)

What’s “medium size”? My 26’ travel trailer has an 1200# tongue weight loaded down for a weekend.

If you get an external winch you can some fun options for getting a custom made winch cover...

I used my Warn 9.5k winch regularly to rescue myself as well as others when wheeling.
