Hey All,
First post, so here goes: I have a '23 Power Wagon, which has been awesome. However, 1 issue I have noticed (aside from the cold start bird chirp), is a very sporadic extreme long crank before starting.

99.5% of the time, its a 1.5 second crank and boom she's fired up....however that other 0.5% (I know of 2 times, wife says she has had it about 5-6 times) it will sit there and turnover for 10-12 seconds, and just as the safety cut off is about to engage, she grabs and fires up.

Just wondering if anyone else here has experienced this, and has a fix, or is currently trouble shooting it? I have gone to my local dealer, but they don't have much to offer, as of course they wanna tell me it's probably just a glitch, damn those electronics....Yeah ok, cool...not the answer I want from them lol. So figured I would check here on the internets before trying to call around to dealers 2-3 hours away, lol.

Thanks

Not 10-12 seconds but I have occasional 3-4 second episodes. As you said, it's infrequent but troubling when it happens since it's so noticeable.

You may be onto something. My commute is less than 5 minutes each way so I may be killing the battery and not driving it long enough to charge. That should be easy enough to determine. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, there’s a good chance with a drive that short the battery isn’t getting a full charge.

Happened to me. Had long cranks two times in a row. Then I was unable to pop the tailgate with the truck off. Needed new battery.

Miss the days of turn the key and it will try and crank until there is no more juice, instead of voltage is a little low lets go haywire.
