Heard a rumor that you cannot order a 2023 2500/3500 in a big horn from?

Anyone hear that too?

Yep. In early Oct when I was building my truck at a local dealer, the salesman came back and said "good news, I can save you some money... the Mega cab isn't available in BH, but you can get it in a Laramie"..

Paying 7k more for junk like LED tails, adaptive headlights, power folding mirrors, heated seats to name a few…I’m a minimalist but each their own.

I ordered pre pandemic (literally just before) and I recall there being a substantial price difference for what you received with both trim levels. I ended up outfitting my BH with premium lighting, Alpine stereo, etc. Not sure of the exact differences at this point but knowing I didn't want Laramie leather, I may have only spent a little less than the upgraded trim level. I wouldn't mind the factory flares for example now.

I guess it depends on where you hail from but I love my heated seats and steering wheel in our cold westher months. Those will be mandatory for me going forward.

Enough babbling. Have a plan for your truck and stick to it lol. I'm adding the factory puck option after the fact and would have gladly paid them to install it!

There are no adaptive headlights on the Laramie, just the “regular” LED lights. There’s a huge difference in visibility between the halogens and the LEDs.

Maybe I used the wrong term but adaptive headlights I meant the auto highbeam option. I personally don’t mind LED lights but replacements typically require all new headlights which I don’t like.

Ahh ok. The Longhorn, Limited, and recent top level Power Wagons (and now Rebels) have “adaptative” headlights that turn with the steering.

You’re definitely right about replacement requiring replacing of the entire housing, but I’m not sure failures of LED headlights are very common.

Having had the halogens in a 2-13 and 2015 1500, the LED's were a requirement for my 2500. Simply from a safety standpoint they should be required not optional imho. I saw a TFL vid here the other day and they ordered the cheapest full size truck (regular cab) they could find and said the same...

I’m surprised- my fathers 22 has halogens and they are super bright in my opinion- way better than my 2003 3rd gen and his old 1996 12v - now those were terrible.

It is likely relative... Go sit in one with the premium light package in a Bighorn or standard lighting in Laramies up vs the halogens.
