2022 Synthetic Oil 10W-30

I have a '22 6.7 and it's almost due for an oil change.
I am having a hard time finding syntenic oil for this truck in the 10W/30 flavor.

What are you guys using? I searched but I can only find the 5W/40.

Or should I just use conventional oil?
 
Most 10W30 you're going to find is going to be a blend.

The spec calls for 10W30 (any diesel CK-4) or 5W40 full synthetic.

ETA: Shell announce a full synthetic 10W-30 T6 oil.

10w 30 is perfectly fine I don’t know why so many people are just stuck on 5W 40 you live in a cold climate I could see that.

Severe service you should run 5w40 and also unless you live in the warmer states why would you run 10w30 and have to change it before winter….
 
I wouldn't bother with the 10W30 TBH. Run 5W40 either T6 or the Cummins Valvoline Premium Blue if you're looking for an easy to find oil that meets all the specs. There are others that meet the needed specs, but if you just want easy either of those will meet the warranty requirements.

Cummins has final say on engine warranty claims so running either the Ram Endorsed T6 or Cummins endorsed Valvoline has you covered the easy way as would running either Mopar or Fleetguard filters. I'll be running the Valvoline with Fleetguard Stratapore filters until my warranty is up or I void it myself at 7.5K or 1 year(The more likely) intervals since my truck doesn't see a ton of miles. After that I'll switch to Amsoil 5W40 w/bypass filtration changed based on oil analysis since I already order Amsoil in bulk through my dealer account for the Ecoboosts in the family fleet.

That is simply not true RAM buys the engines from cummins with no warranty it is up to RAM to foot the warranty bill, Cummins has 0 say or dealings when it come to warranty. Hell it can be hard to buy parts directly from Cummins shops as they will tell you to go to your RAM dealer
 
Amsoil and Royal Purple also both have full synthetic 10w-30.

Personally I opted for Amsoil 5w-40 for better cold and hot weather protection.

0°F is still a cold climate and acceptable for 10w-30, but 5w-40 will still out preform most 10w-30's.

Full synthetic 10w-30 would also have very similar pour points to the 5w-40 full synthetics.
 
Does anyone know why 15W40 is no good? I have see that it comes with the CK4 specification. 15W40 is only the viscosity and not the quality of the oil.
What is wrong with that viscosity if you live in states where the winter is rather mild?

Cummins went thru a major design change on the 6.7 . The internals have much closer tolerances hence the need to use synthetics and a lighter weight on the low end . I used 15 -40 in my 14 and my other earlier cummins powered trucks . My suggestion is to adhere to the manufactures recommendations 10-30 or 5-40 Synthetic.

15w40 is too thick for hydraulic lifters, if you were to retrofit to solid lifters then you could run 15w40 no issue
